Preserve My Petals is a West Bloomfield, Michigan floral preservation studio specializing in petal by petal reconstruction and color correction techniques.
Each arrangement is artfully preserved and framed in custom designer frames with UV conservation glass, creating elegant, lasting heirlooms to cherish for a lifetime.
Your bouquet is never pressed as it arrives. Every petal is taken apart, dried, and rebuilt by hand so the finished piece looks the way your flowers looked the day you carried them.
Petals lose color as they dry. We restore them selectively with high quality artist pigments, which extends how long your colors stay vibrant.
Frame your flowers for the wall, or set the same petals in resin as coasters, a ring dish, a paperweight or a keychain you carry every day. Most studios offer one. We offer both.
Museum grade and UV blocking on every framed piece we make, which slows the natural fading that reaches every pressed flower in time.
Professional solid wood frames with beveled, beaded or ornate detail, in six finishes. Choose a linen backing, or floating double glass where your petals are suspended between two panes.
Most preservation studios are one person working alone. We are a team, which means room for a last minute bouquet and more skilled hands on every piece.
Your flowers deserve more than a vase and a goodbye.
This is a slow and deliberate process. Every flower is taken apart, dried, color corrected and rebuilt petal by petal. Most keepsakes are complete in about six months.
Look up your date on our availability calendar. We preserve flowers from weddings, anniversaries, celebrations and memorial services, and if your event has already passed we can almost always still help.
Choose your frame size, color and finish, along with any smaller keepsakes you would like made from the same flowers. Payment is made at booking, so it is one less thing to remember later. Your contract arrives by email within the hour, and once it is signed your date is reserved.
Flowers come to our West Bloomfield studio the Monday following your event. Full care and drop off instructions are emailed one month beforehand, or immediately after booking if your event has already taken place. On a wedding weekend, designating a family member or friend to handle drop off is highly recommended.
Your flowers go into the press, where drying takes three to four months depending on the variety. We change papers several times a week and keep a close eye on your petals throughout. Once dry, every flower is rebuilt petal by petal, color corrected by hand with artist pigments, then designed, glued and framed. We will keep you updated at each stage.
When your piece is finished, we will email you to arrange pickup at the studio.
