We are a flower preservation studio in West Bloomfield, about 35 minutes from downtown Royal Oak, and we preserve wedding, memorial and celebration flowers for Royal Oak couples and families.
We love downtown Royal Oak, from the piano bar to the comedy club, and its lively, walkable streets. With so much there for a younger crowd, it's no surprise so many of our brides call it home.
You bring your flowers to us on the Monday after your event, any time between 7am and 7pm. There is a drop box on the front porch with instructions in it, so you do not need to arrange a time with anyone or wait for us to be home. Most people are in and out in under a minute.
That matters more than it sounds. The Monday after a wedding is not a day anybody wants to coordinate a handover, so on a wedding weekend we recommend asking a family member or a friend to do the drop-off for you.
It is a real drive on the Monday after a wedding. Two things make it easier: send somebody else, which we recommend to everyone anyway, or email us and we'll help you ship your flowers to us instead.
Your bouquet is never pressed the way it arrives. We take it apart, press every flower, then rebuild each one petal by petal so roses and peonies look full again rather than flat. We correct color by hand with artist pigments, and every framed piece is finished in solid wood behind UV conservation glass that blocks up to 99% of UV rays.
Drying alone takes 2 to 4 months depending on the flowers, and most pieces are complete in about six months.
Pressing changes color, and nothing stops that completely. Bright colors hold. Whites settle into a creamier, vintage tone. Reds and burgundies deepen. Our color correction and the conservation glass slow it considerably.
That is most people. Get in touch and tell us when it was and what condition the flowers are in, and we will give you a straight answer about whether they can still be saved. Flowers from a funeral or memorial service? See memorial flower preservation.
