Five steps, from looking up your date to hanging your finished piece.
Check your date on our availability calendar and order from there. We preserve flowers from weddings, anniversaries, celebrations and memorial services, including last minute bouquets and events that have already passed.
Choose your size, frame color and orientation, and whether your petals sit on linen or float between two panes of glass. Smaller keepsakes can be made from the same flowers, pressed or resin. Most studios offer one. We offer both.
Payment is made in full at booking, so there is nothing to remember later, and your contract arrives by email within the hour.
Flowers come to the studio the Monday after your event, any time from 7am to 7pm, to the dropbox on our West Bloomfield porch. Clients outside the area ship them to us instead. Full instructions are emailed to you a month beforehand.
Until then, keep them alive. Stems trimmed and standing in fresh water, somewhere cool and dark. Do not spray the petals or let anything press against them, and skip the bouquet toss.
Drying takes three to four months. Then every flower is rebuilt petal by petal by hand, color corrected with artist pigments, and closed behind museum grade UV glass. You will hear from us at each stage.
Around six months after your flowers arrive, your keepsake is ready and we will email you to arrange collection. Hang it out of direct sunlight and there is nothing else to do.
Bold, saturated flowers keep their vibrancy well.
Whites and pale flowers take on a soft, vintage tone.
They move toward a rich maroon or purple.
The palest pinks sometimes settle into a light purple.
Color correction by hand restores much of what drying takes out, and UV glass slows fading further. Neither stops it, and we would rather say so than promise otherwise.

Ordering a large piece, or more than one? Send extra flowers. Table arrangements, bridesmaid bouquets and ceremony flowers all work, and the extra variety is what keeps a large design from looking sparse.
